Maria Belen Chapur, a 41-year-old TV reporter from Argentina, has admitted being the mistress of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, who made news earlier this month for disappearing for six days. It turned our Sanford flew to Argentina to have some hot lovin’ with Chapur while his staff and his wife thought he just “went hiking” in the Appalachian Trail.

Sanford and Chapur’s affair was revealed when the governor’s email account was hacked. In his emails to Chapur, Sanford told his mistress that he admired her body, and longed for her “magnificent, gentle kisses” and the sight of her touching her breasts.

A part of one of his July 10, 2008 email to Chapur says: “You have a particular grace and calm that I adore. You have a level of sophistication that so fitting with your beauty. I could digress and say that you have the ability to give magnificent gentle kisses, or that I love your tan lines or that I love the curve of your hips, the erotic beauty of you holding yourself (or two magnificent parts of yourself) in the faded glow of the night’s light – but hey, that would be going into sexual details,” Sanford writes.

“In the meantime please sleep soundly knowing that despite the best efforts of my head my heart cries out for you, your voice, your body, the touch of your lips, the touch of your finger tips and an even deeper connection to your soul.”

Sanford said it was a friendship that started eight years ago that turned into love and developed into a sexual relationship a year ago. Chapur has two children, while Sanford has been married to his wife Jenny for 20 years.
